Wood and Products Used

Millworks uses genuine kiln dried hardwoods for the majority of our projects. At customers' request and to meet designers specification for more luxurious items we have available a range of more exotic hardwoods and veneers. At Millworks we are committed to buying all hardwood from reputable and renewable sources and reputable suppliers in line with our environmental policy.

Specialist softwoods used in cabinet making include the following: Western Red Cedar, Hemlock, Pine species including, Knotty Ponderosa, Oregon & Southern Yellow, Douglas Fir and Cedar of Lebanon.

The range of products used in today's market include traditional hardwoods, these are often supplemented by a range of products that include manufactured and engineered sheet materials such as MDF and specialist plywood's.  

The result is that cabinets and joinery at Millworks are designed and manufactured to range from the modern through to the traditional, from functional to elaborate.
