Millworks is a company that have been passionate about joinery, specialised cabinet work and furniture design all of our working lives. This company is an exciting fusion of talented people who work in the areas of joinery design, specialist manufacture, bespoke cabinet making and period refurbishment. We are located on the Bellbrook Industrial Estate Uckfield, East Sussex within easy reach of the M25, M23 and Gatwick Airport, the South East and Central London.

Adam Hobbs

Adam has over 30 years of industry and entrepreneurial experience in a diverse range of manufacturing and construction businesses. His background in joinery has lead him to be a multi-disciplined project manager in the construction industry specialising in high end refurbishment.

Adam has an industry reputation as an experienced craftsman in detail project design, often called on by architects and designers for this skill. These work areas require intimate working knowledge of how grand houses and period properties operate at the highest levels, this is a rare understanding of the true meaning of occupying property with grand living.

During the last two years Adam has developed an international portfolio of clients and industry linkages specialising in technical design for architects and designers and clients. He prides himself in being a skilled and experienced craftsman and his reputation for his customer service and an eye for detail and the pursuit of excellence are at the foundation. Other business interests have included business start ups in Belize, property development and training programmes for developers starting up in third world countries.

Derek Paine

Derek has over 40 years of experience at the very top end of specialized cabinet making and joinery. He is a master in his own field. This knowledge of cabinetry allows us to pro actively avoid problems for our customers before they start. He has been a master trainer of apprentices over the years and has provided a superbly talented team of craftsmen bringing years of experience with them to every job. These skills are combined with a fully equipped state of the art modern workshop.
